Courier Note From Goodfellows President

Brother Knights, I would like to share a special moment that happened to me at this year’s Goodfellow Packing Day. I was walking around the hall trying to say hello and thank all the members and their wives that came to the hall to help. When I finally reached the opposite end of our hall, I met a young man who had just recently joined our council. We chatted and I gave him a brief historical narrative on the 111 years of Goodfellows history. It was then that I noticed he was smiling and shaking his head in amazement as he eyed all the people that had come to the hall that evening to pack boxes.  We do need to take the time and reflect on our services! Take a moment and reflect on the 400 families we fed this Christmas. I am sure there are many of these families that truly thanked our Lords that they had food for their Holiday week! Remember – Proverbs 22:9 – The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.  Thank you to all those that helped this year starting with the Paper Sale, Counting, and Cooking. Thank you to all that helped with the hall set up, packing, and delivering! I would also ask you all to give a special Thank you to PGK Joe Lamour and his daughter, Michelle, for their year-long services in ordering food and transporting it to our hall! I would also like to have all members thank Tom Boggs with his Delivery Routing help.

Thank you & God Bless!
